Ignite Your Year

A Guided Workshop to Release the Old, Plan Your Year and Renew Your Purpose

Wednesday, January 7, 2026 I 1:00 PM ET – 3:00 PM

This January, let go of the dumpster fire of the past year and give yourself the gift of clarity and peace as you prepare for 2026. In this collaborative workshop, you’ll reflect on the lessons of 2025, release creative blocks, and chart a vision for your most authentic writing year yet. With support from Lisa Cooper Ellison, Lynn Shattuck, and Kristin Sancken, you’ll use guided visualization, soul-goal strategies, and creative support to turn your creative dreams into a clear, actionable plan. Leave with a renewed sense of purpose, connection, and a roadmap for success.

During this workshop you’ll:

  • REFLECT on the past year’s lessons
  • RELEASE what no longer serves you
  • RECONNECT with your purpose
  • CREATE soul-aligned goals
  • VISUALIZE your success
  • BUILD a clear path forward

Whether you’re crafting your first draft or managing multiple writing projects, this workshop will help you build the clarity, confidence, accountability, and consistency needed to achieve your writing dreams in 2026.

You’ll leave Ignite Your Year with:

  • Renewed purpose
  • Roadmap for success
  • Accountability partners, and better yet, accountability to yourself
  • A workbook to help you deepen your understanding of your goals and how to track your progress

Can’t attend live?

No problem. The session will be recorded and distributed to everyone who registers, along with the workbook.

There are two ways to join Ignite Your Year:

Doing so will not only register you for this class. You’ll also be entered in my 2025 Giveaway for Good grand-prize drawing for prizes including manuscript evaluations, coaching sessions, an author logo, and much more.

Fifty percent of all proceeds will be donated to The Women’s Initiative.

About Your Instructors

Lisa Cooper Ellison is an author, speaker, trauma-informed writing coach, and host of the Writing Your Resilience podcast. Working at the powerful intersection of storytelling and healing, she blends her writing expertise, clinical training, and soul-centered practices—including Akashic Records work and Human Design—to help writers turn their hardest experiences into art. Her essays—on sibling loss, grief, trauma healing, and the craft of writing—have appeared in The New York Times, HuffPost, and The Loss of a Lifetime: Grieving Siblings Share Stories of Love, Loss, and Hope among others.

Kristin Thomas Sancken was born in Panama, raised in Mexico, and came of age in Minnesota before settling in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she lives with her husband, two children, and an exuberant Golden Retriever. Her writing has earned numerous awards and appeared in publications including The Guardian, HuffPost, and Columbia Journal. You can find more of her writing at her Substack, Sanctuary of the Holy Others.

Lynn Shattuck writes on topics like grief, parenting and mental health. She was a columnist at Elephant Journal for ten years, where several of her essays on the topic of grief and sibling loss and parenting went viral. Lynn co-founded the website lossofalifetime.com, a hub of resources and community for those who’ve experienced sibling loss. She co-edited the essay collection, The Loss of a Lifetime: Grieving Siblings Share Stories of Love, Loss, and Hope, which was released in June of 2025.

This webinar is for you if:

  • You want to achieve not just your 2026 goals, but your 2026 dreams.
  • You want a clear path for completing this work.
  • You’re looking for accountability and support along the way.
  • You’re worried that last year’s unpredictability will upend this year’s progress

This webinar isn’t for you if:

  • Goals aren’t important to you.
  • You’re not willing to work toward your dreams.

While we specialize in helping writers achieve their dreams, you don’t have to be a writer to participate.

All you need is a goal you’d like to achieve.

Not available on 1/7/26 at 1:00 PM ET?

A recording of this session and handouts will be distributed to all participants two days after the webinar ends.
